Privacy Policy
At RIDAX NG we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services you have requested from us.
This Privacy Policy sets out when and why we collect personal information about the people who visit our website, register as a customer, agent or closer, place an order, or contact us. It explains how we use that information, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure.
This Privacy Policy may be changed from time to time, so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you're happy with any changes. By using our website, you're agreeing to be bound by this Policy.

Our service points and partner locations are listed in full at Where To Buy (/where-to-buy/).
2. About RIDAX NG
RIDAX NG is the consumer brand of KemCorp Innovation, an enterprise registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission. We manufacture and distribute premium pest-control products — bed bugs, cockroaches, termites, ticks and fleas, and mosquitoes — to homes, schools, hotels, hospitals, barracks, offices and businesses across Nigeria and beyond, through our website and a network of distribution partners, agents and closers.
3. What Information Do We Collect From You?
Personally identifiable information we collect from you might include your name, delivery address, email address, telephone number, WhatsApp number, location (country, state and city), gender, date of birth, identity document type and number, bank account details, and IP address. This includes information collected when you:
- register an account on our website as a customer, agent / distribution partner or closer, even if you never make a purchase;
- place an order as a guest at checkout;
- apply to become a RIDAX distribution partner;
- upload an identity document and proof of identity during verification;
- participate in any survey, promotion or competition;
- interact with us via live chat, WhatsApp, email, our contact form, or similar web services.
We may collect this identifiable information from you through form(s) on this website that are completed by you, through your dashboard activity, and through messages you send us.
Agent, closer and distributor applicants: because you may hold stock, receive payments and represent the RIDAX brand, we additionally collect a government-issued identity document type and number, an uploaded proof-of-identity file (and optionally a selfie with your document), and bank account details (bank name, account number and account name in Nigeria; bank name, account name, IBAN/SWIFT, sort code and bank address outside Nigeria). These are collected solely for identity verification, order assignment, invoicing, remittance and commission payment.
Non-personally identifiable information we may collect might include what pages you visit on our website, how you interact with it, at what time of day, how long you spend at each stage of the checkout process, your device type, browser, operating system, referring site and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use software to record your interactions with our website to help us understand how visitors use the site and how it can be improved. We may collect this non-identifiable information through first-party cookies and our own analytics.
Payment information. If you make a purchase on our website, your card payment details are not held by us. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Paystack, which specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card and bank payments. Where you choose our "Pay Later" option, we record only that you selected Pay Later, your order details and any transfer receipt you choose to upload — never full card data.
By providing us with this information, you expressly consent to our use of the personal information you have entered in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
4. How Do We Use The Information We Collect?
We may use your information to:
- process an order that you have made on our website, in your dashboard, by phone or on WhatsApp;
- verify your identity where you register as an agent, closer or distribution partner;
- assign, dispatch, deliver and track your order, including sharing the minimum necessary details with the closer and delivery agent handling it;
- issue invoices, record remittances, calculate commissions and pay earnings;
- carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us;
- prefill your delivery details on a future checkout so you don't have to retype them (you can edit or delete these at any time);
- deal with entries into a competition or promotion;
- seek your views or comments on the services we provide;
- notify you of changes to our service, e.g. server maintenance, price changes or seasonal open times;
- send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you, which might include promotions of our goods and services;
- respond to your support tickets, messages and product-safety questions;
- prevent and detect fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts and misuse of the platform;
- produce aggregated, anonymised statistics (visits, gender breakdown, location breakdown, order timings) for business reporting;
- process a job or partnership application;
- comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. Assignment of orders to closers follows a round-robin and rule-based system; it is an operational routing process, not a decision about you.
5. Consent
We need your consent for some aspects of activity that are not covered by our legitimate interests (in particular, the collection of data via cookies, and the delivery of direct marketing to you through digital channels) and, depending on the situation, we'll ask for this via an opt-in or soft-opt-in (which we explain further below). Please note that in certain of the jurisdictions in which we operate, we comply with additional local law requirements.
Soft opt-in consent is a specific type of consent which applies where you have previously engaged with us — for example, you bought a product or applied to become a partner. For 'soft opt-in' consent, we will take your consent as given for similar products and services unless or until you opt out. Every marketing message we send carries a one-tap unsubscribe, and you can manage all preferences at Let's Keep In Touch (/lets-keep-in-touch/).
For other types of e-marketing, we are required to obtain your consent, and we record the date, time and document version you accepted.
Where our lawful basis is contract (delivering your order) or legal obligation (tax and accounting records), we do not need consent, but we still handle your data under this Policy.
6. Cookies And Local Storage
Our website uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, remember your cart, remember your draft registration, remember your cookie choice, and prefill your saved delivery addresses. With your consent we also use first-party analytics storage to measure page visits, referral source, device type and how long each checkout stage takes, so we can remove friction.
We do not run cross-site advertising trackers by default. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the banner on your first visit, and change your mind at any time from the same banner or the preference centre. Declining non-essential cookies does not stop you from shopping or using your dashboard.
7. How Long Do We Hold Your Data?
We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil statutory obligations, and we will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us, or to comply with our legal obligations.
Our indicative retention periods:
- Account profile and login credentials — Life of the account, then 30 days after deletion (anonymised thereafter)
- Orders, invoices, delivery records, accounting entries — 6 years (Nigerian tax and company-records requirement)
- Identity documents and proof of identity (agents, closers, distributors) — Life of the partnership + 6 years; deleted within 30 days if your application is declined and you do not reapply
- Bank account details — Life of the partnership + 6 years for reconciliation, then deleted
- Support messages and tickets — 3 years
- Marketing preferences — Until you withdraw consent, then we keep only a suppression record
- Website analytics events — 26 months, then aggregated
Our retention periods for personal information are reviewed on a regular basis.
8. Who Has Access To Your Information?
We will not sell, rent or give your information to third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Inside RIDAX. Your information is accessible to the RIDAX staff and platform administrators who need it to serve you. When you place an order, the closer handling your order sees your name, contact details, delivery address, order items and order notes; the delivery agent assigned to your order sees your name, phone number, delivery address, preferred delivery date and time window, and order notes. They see only the orders assigned to them.
Third-party service providers working on behalf of RIDAX NG. We may pass your information to third-party service providers or other organisations for the express purpose of completing tasks (like processing your order, delivering your parcel, processing your payment, sending an email or WhatsApp notification, or hosting our systems) on our behalf. Any such providers are given only the information that is necessary to provide that service, and any providers we use are required to keep your information both secure and for only as long as is required to process that task. These include our payment processor (Paystack), our cloud hosting and database providers, our email and notification delivery services, and our map-tile provider.
Business transfers. We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of our business and assets to any third party, or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation, or if we're under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions or other agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of RIDAX NG, our customers, our agents and closers, or others.
We will not release your information unless requested to do so by you, or we are required to do so by law (like a court order, or the prevention of fraud or other crime).
9. How Your Information Is Stored
Your information collected by RIDAX NG may be stored and processed in Nigeria, Europe, or any other country in which RIDAX NG or its subsidiaries, affiliates, service partners or cloud providers maintain facilities. Wherever it is stored, we apply the safeguards described in this Policy and require equivalent protection from our processors.
Uploaded identity documents and proofs are stored in private, access-controlled storage. They are never publicly listable, never served from a guessable URL, and are only retrievable by you and by authorised administrators.
10. How We Protect Your Information
Our website uses SSL/TLS (HTTPS) technology across the entire website, which means we encrypt any information submitted or transmitted whilst on our website. This includes information submitted like your account registration, login credentials, uploaded documents and order details.
Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing — never in plain text, and never readable by our staff. Administrative access is password-gated, rate-limited, session-expiring and logged. Every sensitive administrative action is written to an audit log recording who did what, when, and what changed.
RIDAX NG takes the protection of your data seriously, but we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to RIDAX NG, nor guarantee that your information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our standard physical, technical or procedural safeguards. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; however, we work hard to protect your data and cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@ridaxng.com.
11. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where relevant, the GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. You can also export your data yourself from Dashboard → Profile → Export my data (JSON download).
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete information. Most fields are editable by you in your dashboard profile.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal information ("right to be forgotten"), via Dashboard → Profile → Delete my account. Deletion is subject to a 30-day grace period and does not erase records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes; those are anonymised instead.
- Restriction and objection — object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing (always honoured immediately).
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Complain — to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to your local supervisory authority if you are outside Nigeria.
To exercise any right, email info@ridaxng.com with the subject "Data request". We will acknowledge within 5 working days and respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before releasing data. There is no fee for a reasonable request.
12. Children
Our website and products are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. RIDAX products are pesticides and must be kept out of the reach of children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@ridaxng.com and we will delete it.
13. Third-Party Links
Our website contains links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that they have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
14. International Transfers
If you are ordering from outside Nigeria, your information will be transferred to and processed in Nigeria and possibly other countries. By placing an order or registering, you consent to this transfer. We rely on standard contractual protections and processor agreements for these transfers.
15. Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Every version is dated and versioned at the top of this page and stored in our CMS, where administrators can review the change history. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in your dashboard before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
